UGI Packaging manufactures custom food molds, trays, pans and pastry tools within our confirmed factory scope using molding, injection molding, plastic forming, paper conversion, metal cutting and forming, printing, assembly and QC equipment. The correct material and process depend on temperature, food-contact conditions, cavity geometry, release requirement, rigidity, reuse cycle and cleaning method.
Specify silicone and molded forms by use condition
Silicone cups and molds require defined material grade, cure route, cavity dimensions, wall thickness, color and intended temperature. A marketing phrase such as food grade or platinum cure is not a substitute for the exact formulation, test scope and supporting documentation.
Engineer rigid plastic confectionery molds
Polycarbonate or other approved plastic molds require resin identity, cavity polish, draft, part release, wall thickness and molding controls. We use our molding and injection equipment according to the approved drawing and physical sample.
Compare paper trays, metal cutters and plastic tools
Paper trays need board, coating, fold and grease or moisture testing. Metal cutters need material, edge, joint and dimensional control. Plastic rings and frames require resin, stiffness, forming or molding route and temperature limitations.
Related packaging is covered in our food packaging supplies and custom candy boxes.
Documentation, sampling and QC
The European Commission overview explains food-contact obligations but does not certify a generic material. Send dimensions, material, temperature, food type, reuse and cleaning conditions, color, logo, quantity and packing. Our QC checks dimensions, weight, surface, cavities, edges, joints, color, print, cleanliness and agreed functional tests.
Frequently asked questions
Can UGI Packaging manufacture silicone and plastic molds?
Yes. Our confirmed scope includes molding, injection molding, plastic forming, assembly and QC for project-approved materials and designs.
Can UGI Packaging manufacture metal pastry cutters?
Yes. Our factory operates metal cutting, forming, joining, coating, decoration, assembly and QC equipment for relevant tools.
Does food grade describe a complete specification?
No. The exact material, formulation, intended contact, temperature, time, destination and supporting test scope must be defined.
What does mold and tray QC inspect?
QC checks dimensions, weight, cavities, surface, edges, joints, color, printing, cleanliness and agreed functional tests.
