Working With UGI

From first enquiry to finished packaging

These answers reflect the manufacturing, product and service information published across ukugi.com. For specifications tied to a particular product or destination market, contact the team for written confirmation.

What types of packaging does UGI manufacture?

UGI manufactures custom gift boxes, rigid boxes, folding cartons, paper bags, labels, food takeaway packaging, bakery and dessert boxes, drink holders, insulated bags, and other retail packaging. OEM and ODM customisation is available.

Are you a manufacturer or a trading company?

UGI operates its own production facilities in Huadu District, Guangzhou. Production, structural development and quality control are managed directly rather than outsourced through a trading company.

What is the minimum order quantity?

MOQ depends on structure, material and finishing. Most fully custom printed packaging starts around 500–1,000 units, while selected structures or sample programmes may support lower quantities. Ask for a product-specific MOQ.

Can you create a custom dieline or structure?

Yes. The structural engineering team can develop custom sizes, inserts, closures and exclusive structures from a brief, reference sample or product dimensions.

Can I order a sample before production?

Yes. Blank, digital and production-grade samples are available depending on the project stage. Sampling is used to confirm structure, fit, artwork, materials and finish before mass production.

What printing and finishing options are available?

Options include offset and digital printing, Pantone colour matching, matte or gloss lamination, soft-touch finishes, hot foil stamping, embossing, debossing, spot UV, holographic effects and specialty coatings.

Do you offer food-safe packaging?

Yes. Food-contact projects can use compliant food-grade materials and inks. The applicable material declaration and test requirements should be confirmed for the destination market and intended use.

How do you control print and packaging quality?

UGI checks incoming materials, prepress files and colour targets, in-process printing and converting, assembly, packing and final shipment. AQL sampling or project-specific inspection criteria can be agreed before production.

What is the typical lead time?

Standard custom production is generally 15–45 days after artwork, sample and order details are approved. Timing varies with quantity, structure, finishing, peak season and shipping method.

What information is needed for a quotation?

Please provide the packaging type, dimensions, quantity, material preference, printing and finishing requirements, delivery country and any reference images or artwork.

Can you help with shipping and consolidation?

Yes. UGI can support route planning, export packing, shipment consolidation and coordination with your nominated forwarder. Delivery terms and documentation are confirmed with the quotation.
