Gift Bag Procurement FAQ
What Should Buyers Specify for Custom Kraft Gift Bags With Handles?
A buyer checklist for defining a custom kraft gift bag, its handle route, printing and sample approval before quotation.
Start with the filled bag, not only the flat dimensions
Specify the finished width, gusset, height, intended contents and filled weight, then define the paper route, handle construction, printing, packing and destination. A bag that looks similar when flat may use a different handle, reinforcement or converting route.
Which finished dimensions should be included in a kraft gift bag RFQ?
Provide width, gusset and height, plus the intended product dimensions and whether tissue, inserts or other secondary packaging will be placed inside. This gives the supplier a usable filled-bag reference rather than a flat-size guess.
Why should the handle construction be specified separately?
Twisted paper, flat paper, rope and other handle routes can differ in appearance, attachment method, reinforcement and handling expectations. State the preferred handle style, colour, placement and the filled weight the bag is expected to carry.
What printing information prevents an unclear quotation?
Provide editable artwork, print colours, coverage, placement, finish expectations and whether multiple designs share the same order. A large print area, special colour or registration-sensitive artwork can change the production route.
What should be approved before bulk production?
Approve the finished dimensions, paper appearance, handle position and attachment, print placement, packing method and a representative filled-bag sample. Confirm that the approved sample matches the quoted construction before bulk production.
