UGI Packaging manufactures transparent cake boxes for small cakes, chiffon cakes, cheesecakes and dessert presentation. Our factory cuts, prints, creases, folds, forms and assembles transparent plastic and paperboard structures, bases, sleeves and inserts. A clear pack should be specified from the cake dimensions, decoration height, base stiffness, food-contact conditions, condensation exposure, assembly method and delivery route.
Presentation displays and transport boxes are different products
Acrylic risers and illuminated display stands can present cakes at an event, but they are not the same as a food-contact takeaway box. The quotation must separate reusable display equipment from single-use or reusable packaging and identify which surfaces touch the cake or cake board.
Size the clear box around the finished cake
Nominal 4-inch or 6-inch cake size does not define the packaging. Provide the actual cake-board diameter, cake height, decoration overhang and maximum expected variation. Internal clearance should prevent the walls and lid from touching cream, fruit or toppers while limiting excessive movement during handling.
Material and structure choices
Folded PET, PVC or another approved clear sheet, thermoformed trays and mixed paperboard-window structures have different stiffness, fold whitening, scratch resistance, tooling and recovery routes. The approved material must match the intended food-contact use and market. How our factory manufactures transparent cake boxes
Our plastic sheet converting, die-cutting, creasing, folding, thermoforming, printing and assembly equipment produces the clear body, lid, tray or sleeve. Our paper-converting equipment makes coated or printed bases, collars and outer cartons. We prototype the fold sequence and locking tabs so bakery staff can assemble the box without cracking the sheet or leaving unstable corners.
Base, insert and delivery protection
The cake board and package base must support the filled weight without excessive flex. Tabs, collars or inserts can restrain the board, while an external handle or carrier requires separate load testing. A transparent display box is not automatically a parcel shipper; local delivery and third-party distribution need different restraint and outer-carton decisions. Quotation, sample and production release
Send the cake and board dimensions, filled weight, temperature, direct-contact surfaces, clear material preference, base, closure, printing, quantity, destination and packing method. Fixed costs may include CAD development, cutting tools, print plates and forming molds. We approve assembly, cake clearance, base stiffness, visibility and packed presentation before production starts.
Quality control
Our QC checks material identity, sheet thickness, dimensions, transparency, scratches, fold and crease accuracy, tab engagement, base stiffness, print position, odor, cleanliness, cake-board fit and packing count. Food-contact and environmental claims remain limited to the approved material, intended use and destination requirements.

Is a 4-inch cake box sized from the cake diameter alone?
No. The box must account for the cake board, finished decoration height, overhang, weight and required handling clearance.

Can a transparent cake box be used for parcel shipping?
Not by default. Parcel distribution may require additional restraint and a corrugated outer carton validated with the actual packed cake or a representative test load.
