Pouch panels, gussets, seals, zipper areas, spouts, notches, holes and trim positions depend on the actual converting route. A dieline copied from another pouch or drawn from the finished outside size can place critical graphics in folds or seal areas.

Editable Adobe Illustrator or equivalent vector files are commonly useful, together with a review PDF and all linked assets. The accepted version, PDF standard and packaging method should be confirmed with the actual prepress team rather than assumed.

Convert final fonts to outlines when required or provide properly licensed fonts, and include linked images at sufficient effective resolution for their placed size. Do not enlarge a low-resolution image and assume the output becomes sharper.

Name process and spot colors clearly and separate any white ink, varnish, metallic effect or other production instruction onto dedicated, unambiguous layers. A screen appearance or generic color name is not a production color standard.

Extend background graphics into the specified bleed and keep text, barcodes and critical marks within the approved safe areas. Extra clearance may be needed around seals, folds, gussets, zippers, spouts, tear notches, holes and expected registration tolerances.

State the number of designs, quantity per design, shared dimensions and material, variable text, barcode data and which elements change. Confirm whether the designs can share the same printing and converting setup before assuming combined quantities.

Provide the correct encoded data, intended size, color, quiet zone and placement, preferably as vector artwork. The buyer remains responsible for data accuracy and should arrange verification on the final printed package under the intended scanning conditions.

Approve the final dieline version, dimensions, copy, colors, separations, white-ink and finish layers, barcode data, feature positions, print direction and any prepress changes. Do not release production from an earlier marketing PDF if a revised production proof exists.
