A travel case can organize and protect cigars, but it should not be described as maintaining a fixed humidity unless the complete closure and humidification system has been tested for the intended duration and environment.
Define capacity, cigar size and accessories first
The quoted capacity must be tied to cigar diameter and length. Send the largest cigar, required count, cutter, lighter, humidification device and any tubes or wrappers that remain in the case. Our engineers arrange the cavities and straps so accessories cannot strike cigars and the lid closes without compressing them.
Travel size and internal clearance
External size follows the internal cigar layout, shell thickness, lining, zipper path and accessory storage. Compact dimensions should never be achieved by forcing cigars against the zipper or lid. We prototype the closed case with the actual products, then check handle balance, zipper travel, edge clearance and fit inside the intended luggage or retail carton.
How our factory builds the case
Our factory cuts and forms the structural shell, machines wood components, cuts and prepares leather, sews panels and straps, installs zippers and hardware, wraps or lines the interior and completes final assembly. We manufacture related leather-covered boxes and wooden presentation boxes with the same controlled material, hardware and assembly route.
Leather, lining and hardware choices
Genuine leather, pull-up leather and PU leather differ in thickness, backing, edge behavior, surface variation and labeling. The approved swatch must be tested with the actual sewing, embossing and edge treatment. Interior wood or cedar components must be specified by grade and finish, while zippers, locks, rivets and handles need defined color, coating and operating force.
Humidity claims and transport limits
A lining material alone does not guarantee humidity control. Buyers should specify the humidification device, starting condition, expected travel time, ambient range and acceptable internal range, then approve a project-specific test. The case also needs a protective retail or shipping carton; ISTA packaged-product procedures can support a distribution test plan for the complete packed case.
Branding, sampling and QC
Branding can include debossing, foil, screen printing, metal badges or laser marking where the approved material and component permit. Send the product set, capacity, dimensions, leather and lining references, hardware, logo, quantity and packing method. Production starts after the material-complete sample and specifications are approved. Our QC checks dimensions, stitching, zipper action, hardware security, lining fit, odor, surface marks, cigar clearance, accessory retention and packed presentation.
Care for the finished case
Care instructions depend on the exact leather and coating. In general, remove loose dust with a soft dry cloth, keep the case away from prolonged heat and direct sunlight, avoid soaking the leather and test any cleaner on a hidden area. Empty and air the case according to the approved lining and humidification instructions before extended storage.
